Some Squirrels

Some squirrels today, two who have not seen a nut in a long long time.

Mega Monkey Monday- in March!

A friend of mine went to a screening of the classic Disney movie, Toby Tyler or Ten Weeks With the Circus. I've never seen more than clips, but I know that a chimp is featured prominently (a Mr. Stubbs, by name), so I thought I'd draw some chimps.

More pirate cats

More freebooting felines on fabulous frigates. If you missed them, the first batch was posted here last week.

Check back tomorrow. We'll leave our seafaring cats for a bit and see what lies under the waves...

Creature of wood

I don't know what the story with this guy is. Oddly enough, this doodle had nothing to do with the Rocking horses I've been drawing. Actually I was going more for a Loch Ness type creature made out of wood, but something that looked partially carved, partially organic. No real goal in mind though, just a doodle.

Rocking Horse

For some reason I felt like designing a rocking horse character. It's proving to be really difficult to get anything I like, which of course makes me think I should stick with it...

Curly Locks

I love when drawings have certain areas of really concentrated detail that contrast the rest of the piece. This girls hair is a good example of that, though my handling of the rest of it could use some simplification.

Look it's Bolt!

No, it isn't. This started out as just a dog sketch, but as it evolved he ended up with a really big head, and reminded me of the canine hero from Disney's 2008 film. So I figured I'd doodle a guinea pig friend or two for him.
