21 Days of Halloween Day 17- Revenge of the Cat Creature

This felt more cat than wolf-like to me, and the Cat creature episode of the old Scooby Doo cartoon scared (and fascinated) the bajeezes out of me when I was a kid.

21 Days of Halloween Day 12- Ghostly Maiden

I did something similar last year. I think it's inspired by the lore of the Haunted Mansion, with the forlorn bride haunting the halls.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to do some loose sketchy stuff on my Wacom. It's really tough to make it look spontaneous. I had to erase and redraw that tongue outline 4 times and it still looks terrible. But I like the color.

I have never really been into the Western Genre, but Chris Merritt, a friend of mine, is releasing a book about Knott's Berry Farm, a western themed Theme Park here in California. The book is called Knott's Preserved. So I was inspired to do some grizzled old cowpokes.

Little Brother

My 6 year old daughter loves to play a game called "Little Brother"- basically I pretend I'm her two year old brat of a brother, and she gets to be the older sister (usually 16-20 years old). Little Brother is obsessed with Spider-Man and Lightning McQueen and is always getting into trouble: getting into the candy jar, picking his nose, playing in the mud, and generally being a pain. This is what I picture him looking like. They were not done to specifically depict little brother though so this kid is a bit older, but the personality is the same: loud and obnoxious, very self assured. The part Sabrina loves about the game is she is the authority figure and gets to tell little brother , "No!". She gets to grab his shirt as he goes for candy or drag him to bed without supper. Little Brother is a fascinating game to play with your kid, if for no other reason to hear their approach to child rearing, but it's also exhausting. It takes a lot of energy to be a bad kid.

I don't know why I didn't continue to put a cleaner line on these... but I kinda like them as is. Especially the one on the left.
